Dr Daniela Blancato
BHlthSc & BAppSc(Osteo)
Daniela graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science/Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy), from RMIT University. She has always been drawn to a career in health care, combining her love of human anatomy and the ability to care for others.
She prides herself on her warm and compassionate approach to patient care and strongly believes in the power of a holistic approach to treatment. This involves not only assessing the patient’s pain from a biomechanical perspective, but also exploring the patient’s habits, lifestyle, and overall wellbeing.
Daniela also believes in empowering each of her patients during their recovery journey by making patient education a core part of treatment. This is important not only for preventative treatment but enables her patients to understand the reasons they are experiencing pain. She also forms individualised management plans to help patients achieve their health goals.
Daniela enjoys treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions such as headaches, bursitis, neck, back, elbow and hip pain and especially enjoys working with the elderly.
In addition to hands-on osteopathic techniques, Daniela utilises myofascial dry needling, cupping, and shockwave therapy, depending on the patient’s needs and goals.
Daniela is also extremely passionate about lifelong learning as she recognises that osteopathy is an ever-evolving practice. Daniela has been mentored by a wide range of osteopaths with a variety of different treatment approaches and spends time learning different techniques to apply in practice.
Outside of the clinic, Daniela enjoys trying new cafés and restaurants, going to the beach, and spending time with family and friends.
